The health benefits of herbal teas

There are many healing benefits of herbal teas. Herbal tea remedies have been used for thousands of years to alleviate many common ailments. There are teas that calm the nerves, teas that ease the symptoms of depression, and others that soothe an upset stomach. Some varieties of tea are even known to ease the symptoms of cold and flu.

Tea of the herbal variety is also referred to as an herbal infusion or tisane. It is made by pouring boiling water over fresh or dried flowers, leaves, roots or seeds.
